Background

We decided to get immersed in the project because we wanted to improve the pedagogical and didactic competences based on a needs analysis at our school. Further on, we decided to define and acknowledge them in the European Development Plan. They were the following ones: - improving and upgrading reading literacy strategies for both pupils and teachers, and establishing a quality learning process that supports new working methods for learners with special needs and promotes ways of integrating migrants and foreign students into the learning environment; - analytical processing and comparison of experience for use in domestic school and expansion of it to interested Slovenian and foreign schools; - increasing the capacity to engage in international partnerships and designing e-Twinning projects. We wanted to learn about new skills and methods and exchange practices with foreign related organisations, upgrade them and transfer them into the learning environment. With international cooperation, we intended to increase the confidence of employees to participate in projects and to improve teamwork, digital skills, knowledge of foreign languages and to promote intercultural dialogue.
