We originally wanted to achieve: - Improving education for the deaf in kindergarten and school - Development of forms of assistance to families with children with combined disorders - Development of sign language teaching methodology for deaf people with combined disabilities - Observing and transferring examples of good practices - sign language development - that's why we include 3 deaf teachers with interpreters in the project - to find new methods and forms of work for the socially endangered deaf population - to upgrade the aforementioned methods and practices into a systemically organized teaching of the deaf - to adapt the teaching of sign language to the deaf population with multiple disabilities - the search for innovative methods for learning sign language - networking with experts from related organizations - training of newcomers who are employed at ZGNL for a short time
We applied for the project because the teachers employed in the ZGNL kindergarten and elementary school expressed the need to become familiar with new work methods, examples of good practices, and innovations in the field of deaf people in kindergarten and elementary school. These goals and needs can only be met in organizations abroad, as there are no similar organizations in Slovenia (there are not enough deaf children in the other two institutions). With the project, we wanted to achieve: -Systematic research of methods and forms of work in partner countries - Transfer of methods and examples of good practice through well-organized mobility to our and other organizations - Increase in the quality of participants' knowledge as a result of participation in high-quality mobility - Development and upgrading of quality partnerships - Raising the quality of project management and support for participants by the European Office
