The aim of our project was to update our lessons and innovate methodologies for teaching. We wanted to achieve this by implementing good practices and newly gained knowledge into our teaching. This was the reason we wanted to improve our knowledge on emotional intelligence, mindfulness, motivation, gamification, ICT, creativity and flexibility, communication, conflict management, teamwork and collaboration, inclusion, empathy, tolerance and intercultural dialogue and finally, stress management. Besides good practices from abroad, we also wanted to see how other countries manage to keep a balance between planned activities and activities that require more collaboration with local and wider communities. Finally, we wanted to improve our communication in speaking English and to become more confident speakers of English. Consequently, the communication with our European partners got better and we were able to make more friend and project partners and to participate in more European projects.
We want to raise children that are tolerant and know how to behave in a cultural way. Children who have a great awareness of their rich local cultural heritage. Modern society and the way of life impose daily challenges like lack of motivation for studying, learning difficulties and behavioral problems, lack of independence, lack of initiative and creativity etc. We are convinced that we can achieve integrated development of children when working together with parents. We also seek to provide equal opportunities for each individual child. We are convinced that learning from foreign experts and building new international contacts are necessary for our school to make progress in the following fields: -Digital competences -Communication in foreign languages -Learning to learn -Inclusion -Social and civic competences (emotional competence, critical thinking, initiative, stress management etc.) -Cultural awareness and expression (creativity, innovation, knowing and respecting cultural heritage etc.) By getting to know other countries’ educational systems and participating in quality courses we broaden our minds and get more motivated. We can also evaluate our work better by comparing it to different approaches used abroad.
