With the implementation of the project, we wanted to achieve a higher level of knowledge of our professionals in the field of language (multilingualism), autism and intergenerational connections. We wanted to acquire new methods and forms of work with preschool children in the mentioned areas and to encourage self-initiative, innovation and the search for new approaches to solving challenges in our pedagogical and other work. We also wanted to transfer knowledge from host organizations to our kindergarten and vice versa. In addition, newly acquired knowledge is always shared during the visits of pupils, students, professionals and other workers in our Kindergarten , elsewhere in Slovenia and abroad; in doing so, we pay attention to the fact that this transfer also takes place during informal forms of socializing, as the "yield" is often even greater there. With the implementation of the project, we also wanted to improve our system of hosting in our kindergarten, so that we become even better as a host organization. Of course, with the implementation of the project, we also wanted to improve as a sending organization.
We planned to apply for the project from the category KA101-Mobility of school staff before the Erasmus + call in 2019 was published. Prior to this project, we successfully participated in the Erasmus + KA2 project From Zero We Start and also as a host organization for foreign students and professionals in the field of education which brought a lot of positive changes in our kindergarten and so we prepared the project European Path of Kindergarten Ledina for the 2019 call. Before applying for the project, we selected the needs of the kindergarten as an institution, the needs of employees and the needs of children, and based on this we prepared a project proposal. By applying, we wanted to place our kindergarten more actively in the family of participating organizations in the field of project integration, accelerate the internationalization of the kindergarten, upgrade the expertise of our professionals in language, work with children with special needs (especially autism), emphasize the importance of intercultural integration. In addition to the above, by applying for the project we wanted to improve the field of project management and the production of didactic materials that will enrich our work with children.
