Objectives

By carrying out this project, we first want to equip teachers with additional skills that they urgently need today. As a result we will be able to further strengthen our students with the knowledge that we have acquired from many areas, including: entrepreneurship, digital competences, social networks, working with audio-visual tools online and in the classroom, using online tools and educational platforms, etc. Our school is also facing an ever-increasing arrival of foreign students and the number of children with special needs is also increasing, so we wanted to provide better inclusion of these children. Empowered with knowledge, teachers will walk even more bravely along the paths we have outlined and with modern teaching approaches it will be even easier to motivate students for more active participation in regular lessons, in activities and by participating in various projects offered by our school. The insight into different school systems of European schools and various seminars can strengthened our own communication skills, multilingualism and others. In the end, we also wanted to be an example to our fellow teachers, who find it more difficult to decide to participate in international projects.

Background

At our school, we have been part of the large Erasmus program and our goals were always aimed at acquiring new knowledge, which we have already and will continue to spread directly among our students, and of course also more widely, among our colleagues (there are more than 100 at our school) and also to the local community. Due to the involvement of management, one of the goals was to present examples of good practice at principals' meetings. We wanted to further upgrade our knowledge and focus on the competencies that are desirable at this time - entrepreneurship, use of ICT, innovations in lessons, cross-curricular and cross-cultural activities. All this gives teachers additional latitude and ways to motivate students. Already in our past Erasmus+ projects, both teachers and students got so many positive experiences that we wanted to build on the existing activities. The opportunity to participate in mobilities brings invaluable experience to every teacher. We want to pass it all to our colleagues, students and the local community. All this brings the teacher of the 21st century closer to his/her students, because the world is changing faster every day and it is very important that the teachers change with it.
