Objectives

On the basis of previous experiences and findings, we want to place the school in the European learning space as an equal institution willing to share knowledge and experience with others. At the same time, we want to develop the school space into a learning environment where the role of teachers and students is not strictly defined, where learning takes place in formal and informal forms, where the learning process is never-ending and offers us new challenges. We want intergenerational and intercultural learning based on the principles of sustainable development, where the natural and cultural heritage of the whole world is an asset for all of us. At the same time, we are aware of the advances, weaknesses and strengths of modern times, where the media occupy an important place, and we want to empower all participants to actively coexist and create with the media. We see the media as a means to bring heritage and other topical issues to the attention of both school children and the general population in a concrete, more tangible and attractive way, which results in more sustainable behaviour. We want to have a positive impact on the professional and personal development of the individual, who will be actively involved in the local and thus European community. In order to achieve this, we have undertaken a deliberate search for appropriate mobilities through which to achieve the project objectives and thus the desired planned progress.

Background

Over the past decades we have been involved in project networking in our country, in Europe and beyond. Through this kind of work, we have found that we can do much more and better. We have highly motivated practitioners in our team who are making a qualitative difference in the life and work of the school, both for themselves and for their colleagues. We realised that through Erasmus projects we gain new useful knowledge, competences, experience and valuable links with partners across Europe. That's why we decided to apply for a project through which we can: - improve our competences in project coordination and other activities, - introduce new proven quality teaching methods and formats, knowledge and skills for delivering lessons in project-based and other forms of work, - improve competences in teamwork, - raise ICT skills to a level of usability and updating the learning process, - raise awareness of the importance of language skills to the level needed for communication, project work and the use of foreign language materials, - strengthen the European dimension of the school to the point of internationalisation, - create knowledge that can be applied outside the school. In this way, we aim to motivate everyone involved to act along the lines of lifelong learning and sustainable development.
