Objectives

Our goal for this project was to enhance the vision of our school. We wished to learn modern, innovative methods and practices of teaching, methods of linking groups of multicultural ethnicities together, to learn new approaches for creating a confidential, linking atmosphere, as well as to learn active styles of learning and to combine ICT practices into our teaching routine. The specific project goals were: the professional development of pedagogical workers as well as improving the competencies and skills; improvement of ICT practices and innovative pedagogy; development of classroom management, replacement of less effective teaching methods, learning to assess, evaluate, develop and upgrade our pedagogical approaches, using ICT for communication on the local and international level, creation of final reports and dissemination of newly acquired knowledge into social media, providing the most optimal circumstances (a healthy, inspiring and encouraging environment) for learning and the well-being of every student; strengthening of personal relations on an everyday level(team harmony), encouraging physical activity and healthy eating habits; performing active learning styles outdoors and cross-curricular activities.

Background

The main reasons for our application for this project lay in the key goals of our organization, i.e. to improve the areas such as the use of ICT in various aspects of our school’s operation, communication, networking and to provide an inspiring, healthy and encouraging environment. Our wish was to upgrade, as well as introduce, new pedagogical methods and teaching tools in order to implement them into daily pedagogical practices for learning and education. Another aim was to develop key competencies and skills of the personnel and the participants of the project. The participants would thus be able to: develop linguistic competencies for the purposes of professional development and progress as well as to improve the competencies and communication skills; establish contacts with international partners for European projects and successfully apply to various projects; they would improve their competencies for working with special needs students (e.g. students with physical disabilities, students with learning issues, talented students, students with emotional or social deficits, immigrants, etc.); increase the use of ICT within their professional development for the purpose of networking and dissemination of new skills.
