By carrying out the project, we wanted to transfer the curriculum for the field of forest pedagogy to the Slovenia, as we do not yet have a forest kindergartens in Slovenia We have only elements of forest pedagogy within public or private kindergartens. We also wanted to transfer the methods of work in forest pedagogy with an emphasis on safety in forest kindergartens. One of the goals of the project was also to improve language skills of our teachers. We wanted to acquire better skills in Czech, Croatian and English language. At the same time, the professional competence of teachers was also the aim we wanted to achieve. In the project, we also wanted to achieve that our organization is more recognizable in the Slovenian and European environment.
We applied to the Erasmus plus project, school partnerships entitled Modra pikica and Erasmus plus. Our aim was increasing competences in the field of Early Childhood Education and Care. We are an experiencev organization implementing also other projects KA1 and KA2. The topics of our project were learning about pedagogy in forest kindergartens and forest kindergartens that also include Montessori pedagogy in their work. We applied for the project because we wanted to enable our kindergarten teachers, to acquire new knowledge in the field of forest pedagogy. We also wanted the wider professional public as well as parents and children to get information about our project.
