Objectives

Through mobility, we wanted students to learn about new economic operations and work planning, organizational approaches, technical implementations and solutions, the European market demands. All participants in the project wanted to develop the competence of integration and connecting into the European economic, political and cultural space. We wished to develop our students’ communicative and intercultural abilities and an entrepreneurial approach. Students were supposed to gain a foundation for further life-long and intergenerational learning. We expected them to become independent, responsible, hard-working as well as confident and courageous in developing and implementing their creative ideas. We wanted all this experience to enrich us, broaden our horizons, enable us to understand the workings of the wider European and global community, and contribute to mutual acceptance, tolerance and cooperation. By connecting educational activities within the framework of international institutions, we aimed to train students for active citizenship and work in European institutions. Our aim was also to adjust development priorities and incorporate the acquired experience into the school curriculum through direct users and providers.

Background

Our aim was to provide students with the working experience and to be more recognizable in the local and international community. By participating actively in the project preparations and working in companies, we wished to improve their professional, linguistic, social and communication competencies. We are aware of the importance of cooperation between our educational institution and the economy sector. We wanted to bring students closer to the EU dimension in the labour market and emphasize the significance of digital competencies. Our intention was to prove them that they gain quality knowledge at school, which they can apply in different fields anywhere in the world and if necessary upgrade it easily. With carefully planned and well-organized activities and obligations of students and mentors after the internship abroad, our goal was to enable the transfer of key messages and information important for planning and supplementing basic educational content, strategies and methods of work and models of connecting theoretical and practical education within the school itself and with social partners. Teachers wished to get feedback to be able to facilitate the implementation of new pedagogical approaches in their work.
