Objectives

Our primary goal is deepening and upgrading of the existing ones and the acquisition of new professional knowledge from the economic and metallurgical fields. We want students to be able to compare the methods and legality of the functioning of economic systems and economic entities at home and abroad. Among the priorities of our school is definitely the development of cooperation with companies at home and abroad, the integration of school education and practical training and the continuous acquisition of key competencies to ensure better qualification and competitiveness of our students on the international labor market. At the same time, the school also develops cooperation with companies and other institutions through projects such as Erasmus+, which enriches and gives added value to the school's reputation, especially professional programs and their practical training. In addition to the primary goals, the project also achieved an improvement in the level of knowledge of a foreign language, learning about the legality of the business environment of other cultures and the behavior of business entities, understanding and accepting differences which is a condition for the development of intercultural dialogue.

Background

Slovenska Bistrica High School has been following Europe's strategy for growth, innovative economy, sustainability, inclusion, social equality and better employability of young people for many years. It is through Erasmus+ projects that we establish good mutual relations and create conditions for exchange, integration and cooperation of all stakeholders in the international space. In this way, we enable all participants to develop professional competences, personal growth, acceptance of other cultures and understanding and acceptance of different social and economic fields. At the same time, broader international strategic integration is important, as potential employers are increasingly interested in integration and cooperation with economic entities in EU countries. Many of the implemented activities of the project have long-term effects, as the acquired competences are transferred to the school environment, among other students and teachers, in the local community, among future employers and also in the international environment. By participating in projects, we develop the school's internationalization and actively include new competencies in the process of designing and planning the school's medium-term development goals.
