Objectives

The purpose of the VETSKE2 project is to continue the process of internationalisation of vocational education and training in Maribor area by including mobility in the regular educational processes of 5 VET schools included in the consortium. The VETSKE2 project follows the goals set in the European Development Plan, such as: Continuity of mobility in the schools of the consortium and inclusion of mobility in the regular school program - A systematic approach to mobilities - Strengthening the capacity of teachers - Improving access to mobility and offering mobility opportunities to all students of the participating schools - Increasing students' professional competences, key competences (soft skills) and civic competences The success of the consortium's work was also confirmed by the acquisition of accreditation for mobility projects in the new Erasmus+ program for the period from 2021 to 2027.

Background

The project is a continuation of the previous VETSKE project, which established a model of successful management of the consortium for the implementation of a greater number of mobilities with the purpose of practice in foreign companies for students from various professional fields. The following schools participated in the VETSKE2 consortium: consortium coordinator Technical School Center and members: Biotechnical Secondary School, Secondary School for Marketing and Design, Secondary School of Wood and Forestry, and Secondary School of Construction Maribor. All schools, except the latter, had already participated in the previous project, which means that the VETSKE2 project was about establishing continuity and upgrading work in the past. In addition to schools, the supporting organisations of the iMove network (Uniser and ZNI) and EU partners also participated in the project. With the concept of cooperation developed by VET providers, companies and experts in the field of mobility, the consortium has contributed to increasing the quality of mobility and increasing the number of mobilities in VET, which is in line with the European objectives set in the Education and Training 2020 Strategic Framework (6% of mobility in PIU).
