With the implementation of the project, we wanted to enable students to upgrade the professional content of the educational program with practical training in companies abroad. During the training, students communicate in a foreign language and through communication they get to know and improve their professional terminology. Students in companies work with employees and thus improve not only in communication in a foreign language, but also in business communication with managers, superiors and employees. In this way, they also learn the basics of entrepreneurship and running the companies in which they are employed. Employees in the companies offer them professional and help in getting to know the local environment. Students in companies abroad work on their positive self-image and become more self-confident, as they take care of themselves during mobility, plan their own work and leisure time, also plan to spend money on transportation, food, expenses for possible transport to work and sightseeing. We want the participants from different educational programs, but most of the time we want students who have a mandatory internship in the education program to participate in the internship. We select students over 17 years of age.
We prepared the application for the project due to the need to acquire knowledge in the field of information and communication technologies, as we have a program of computer technicians at the school, in which we have a very good enrollment. By offering an internship abroad, we wanted to diversify our program and enable internships for students in real environments and in a foreign language. In our energy pool, there is little need to hire experts in this professional field, so finding practical training with work for students during regular schooling is also difficult. We tried to make up for this shortfall by offering an internship with the help of the Erasmus+ project, in which we wanted to enable the participation of 38 students and accompanying teachers. During many years of participation in international projects, we found that the interest of students and future students is very high, which consequently (participation in projects) also increases enrollment. In addition to technical programs at the school, which are electrotechnician, mechanical technician and computer technician, we have a vocational high school program, and students of this program can also participate in practical training within Erasmus + KA102 projects.
