Objectives

The basic aim was to enable the experience of practical training and teaching in a foreign country and thus getting to know and learn a foreign language, to know and acquaint with another culture, a different educational system and through this improve the key competencies and skills of students and teachers. By involvement in Erasmus+ we want to enable contact with the international environment and the spoken foreign language and to further encourage students and teachers to research and make critical judgments, learn different methods of work and get to know and familiarize themselves with different cultures. By carrying out the project, we wanted to achieve changes in students' and teachers' personal development (strengthening the sense of self-confidence, independence and personal maturity), expansion of professional knowledge (different approaches and methods of working, transfer and integration of good practices in their own work) and development of intercultural competences (getting to know and work in a culturally different environment). We also wanted, with the help of international experiences for both students and teachers, to prepare the participants for the challenges that internationalization brings to our place.

Background

At our school we have been recognizing the positive effects of school and student participation in Erasmus+ for many years. The goals of Erasmus+ go hand in hand with our school goals-to provide students with modern innovative knowledge, to develop their independence and critical thinking, and through responsible behavior educate by example for tolerant, peaceful coexistence and respect towards other people and the environment. Through the projects we are looking for additional opportunities in the field of education as well as for the professional and personal growth of students and teachers. As a school we try to be active and alert in monitoring trends and innovations in the field of education and through Erasmus+ enable our students and teachers to come into contact with a modern and professional learning environment thus enabling them to be prepared for successful work and life in a modern, constantly developing and changing world and to prepare and encourage them for greater personal activation in the functioning of society. This is the long-term orientation and vision of the school, which can only develop by constantly moving the boundaries of our activity and allowing the inclusion of innovations in existing school work.
