Objectives

We wanted to achieve an improvement in the organization of the implementation of programs for various vulnerable target groups, such as young people, the elderly, immigrants, people with special needs, etc. For vulnerable target groups, the additional support that we offer at the institution (counseling support, center for independent learning, teaching assistance, etc.) is extremely important. The support of teachers, such as extra hours, consultations; adaptations of material; live classes; informing participants about support activities, and various aspects of teaching, such as diversity of work methods, comprehensibility of learning material, consolidation of knowledge, applicability of knowledge, feedback on progress. Before introducing improvements, it is first necessary to systematically introduce in our institution a method of monitoring the satisfaction of participants with the support that our organization offers to participants and with the work of the teacher. As part of the mobility, we visited the organization and got acquainted with the new support activities offered by the visited organization to various target groups and learned about ways to monitor additional support and ways to monitor teachers.

Background

Cene Štupar - CILJ is widely recognized as an excellent provider of lifelong learning programs aimed at various target groups. In our programs within the framework of various projects, we thus include many vulnerable target groups who are not suited to classical teaching, but who learn more easily through other methods. We notice that teachers are not familiar with all the ways and methods that would respond to the needs of vulnerable target groups. Therefore we want teachers to become familiar with and be trained in additional, new ways and methods of teaching for the implementation of language courses, as different target groups are involved. We want to improve the learning process of the existing language courses, as teachers will be able to choose the appropriate teaching methods and methods according to the target group. For the mentioned vulnerable target groups, the additional support provided by the organization for these groups, as well as the support of teachers in the implementation of the programs, is also extremely important. With European mobility and cooperation, we want to acquire new knowledge regarding additional support provided by the organization for target groups and methods of monitoring teachers' work.
