Objectives

The key areas of MOCIS that we want to improve as part of the project are: - Adequate perception and recognition of the needs of target groups and more effective adaptation to them, mainly through more effective motivation, communication and promotion of educational content. - We want to further train our professional staff (training organizers and implementers programs), which will make it easier to recognize the needs of adults (especially less qualified and those with lower education), easier to access them and also easier to motivate them to join education. - Use of new innovative approaches to motivate and involve older adults in lifelong learning learning in practice. - The newly acquired knowledge will be used by training organizers and program implementers after completion mobility in practice as soon as possible, e.g. in organizing new groups of programs for adults and contractors during the implementation of programs.

Background

MOCIS, Center for Adult Education, is a public institute that offers adults a variety of educational forms and thus ensures lifelong learning in Koroška region. There are many free educations and programs funded by various sources, but the problem arises in the involvement and motivation of participants. When we form groups for various programs, we often encounter the problem of non-participation or lack of motivation, so it is necessary to focus a lot of energy and time on finding/reaching the target population and, during the course of the programs, also on maintaining the level of participation. With appropriate motivation and adapted integration approaches, we could reach even more participants and thus help them on the path of lifelong learning. We signed up for this project because we want to become even more effective in motivating and animating adults to engage in lifelong learning, and to acquire new innovative approaches that will make it easier for us to reach participants. We see the potential for improvement in learning about and localizing modern and innovative approaches that other similar institutions abroad may have already come up with. Therefore, we want to learn from foreign good practices and thereby improve our way of working.
