The main objectives of all the mobility projects we carry out are derived from and coincide with the objectives defined in the European Development Plan. We have identified international networking as an opportunity to ensure better quality of the activities carried out by the Centre and better positioning in the local environment, which motivates us to organise mobilities in the best possible way and to achieve the set objectives. By implementing mobility projects, we aim to achieve an increased volume of international mobility of students and teachers, as well as practicioners, managers, adult education staff and administrative staff, to strengthen cooperation in international projects and to establish international networks with partner institutions. The main objectives of the project Spice uP yOur future PRofession with European experIence at European level are: • For students - enhancing professional and key competences, improving personal development, better understanding of other cultures, cooperation, taking responsibility, becoming more active in school projects and problem solving, enabling better employability in the labour market; • For staff - providing opportunities for professional development, developing new content and working methods, promoting networking and opening up to international environments and participation in new projects, improving understanding of social, linguistic and cultural diversity; • For BC Naklo - promoting internationalisation and ensuring an open environment, integration of education and work, complementing educational content and results with the European labour market, raising the visibility of the institution in the international environment. The project enabled students to gain valuable knowledge and experience in their professional field and helped teachers acquire new skills and competences, which they also passed on to students (mobility presentations, demonstration of the new way of working in practical lessons), and to their colleagues as mentors. Teachers have integrated their new expertise into the educational process itself. This has increased our promotional activities and raised the quality of our educational programmes. The trainees have acquired European comparable knowledge, competences, skills and experience in their professional field in other European educational institutions and companies. The teachers have worked with different stakeholders (schools, companies, protected areas) on mobilities and have made contacts with new ones, thus knitting a network that will be used as a basis for future opportunities, for new mobilities and for other projects (strategic partnerships).
The mission statement of BC Naklo is to develop competent, independent, responsible, innovative, flexible, entrepreneurial, socially and environmentally responsible and team-oriented pupils, students, adult participants and employees. In order to achieve our mission, international activities are essential and international cooperation has become an integral element of the short, medium and long-term plans of BC Naklo, in terms of content, organisation, finances and staffing. The main goals of this project were to increase students' professional competences in biotechnical field, to introduce them to different approaches and methods of learning with an emphasis on experiential learning and, above all, to upgrade their competences in the field of entrepreneurship. Through all mobility projects at BC Naklo, we aim to improve communication skills and learn terminology in a foreign language, according to the geographical area in which the mobility takes place (English, German, Croatian). In parallel, we want to increase independence and self-confidence in tasks and public speaking, as well as the perception of interculturality and social diversity and participation in international projects. Through networking and cooperation with similar educational and business institutions in the EU, we aim to ensure the continuous development of professional and key competences of our students, teachers and staff. We have identified internationalisation and the exchange of experiences with the international environment as an additional opportunity for the transfer of knowledge and good practices and exchange of information with the labour market. To this end, we have written a long-term strategy for international cooperation named Internationalisation Strategy of the Centre. Through mobility projects, we are pursuing BC Naklo's vision to be acknowledged as an internationally open centre of excellence in secondary and post-secondary education, adult education and research in the field of biotechnology and nature conservation by 2027. The number of mobility activities was planned in the Annual Work Plan for Vocational and Technical Education and in the Business and Financial Plan of the Institute. Project objectives: • to get to know and compare work, ways of thinking and good practices abroad and to transfer them to our home environment, at individual (students, teachers, staff) as well as the centre level; • to further develop transnationality and the European dimension, and to develop and maintain new and existing partnerships with different educational and economic institutions across the EU, • to provide support to all students, taking into account the principles of equality and inclusion (students from disadvantaged backgrounds and with fewer opportunities); • to pursue the key priorities of the Erasmus+ programme, which are green, digitalisation and active participation; • to manage the activities in a way that reflects the key individual priorities, thus placing them at the very heart of the Programme's implementation. Mobility projects have contributed to the Centre's international presence and visibility, its development orientation, quality of educational programmes, exchange of knowledge and experience, transfer of good practice examples to the educational process itself and to the workplaces (home farms, florist shops of our students), acquisition of new professional knowledge and skills, making new acquaintances, a more positive attitude towards work and teaching. The staff, students and parents are aware that mobility projects contribute to the added value of the learning process.
