Objectives

Young adults are faced with many needs and problems that are a part of their lives and are inside of youth work addressed in a different ways. As youth workers we believe that we need to empower and help them to face with this period of their lives on an interactive, non-directive and holistic way. Therefore we want to introduce a methodology of Contact improvisation as a tool to address many important topics that young people are facing with (social inclusion, communication, self and body image, health social interaction, healthy boundaries and especially learning to create physical bond and connection with another person) through body movement practice. Our objectives of the project are: - To introduce the method of Contact improvisation to youth workers, trainers, teachers etc. so that they can use this method while working with young people, use the creative, psychological, social, inclusive, cultural potential that this method holds. - Support spreading awareness about importance of communication, empathic dialog, listening, inclusive behaviour, healthy self confidence etc. and give participants clear and useful tools that they can use in their work with youth. - Support participants with understanding how the method can be used in order to address specific social and psychological problems young people are facing now-days (depersonalisation, dissociation etc.). - Have a space of their own experience where they have a chance to experience and embody principles of this method in their own personal and professional process.
