By implementing the „Walk your Talk“ youth exchange project we want to learn, teach and share the knowledge of a set of Leadership skills to 40 participants from 5 EU countries. For the last 3 years our youth organisation is trying to engage local youth in various activities and empower them with various important life skills. We are listening to their needs and formulating their needs in different projects. We started to organize international youth exchange projects with a goal to expand the experience of local youth by giving them opportunities to learn from their peers from various countries and cultures. The topic of this project was chosen by the participants at our last youth exchange project. Through a debate on a team building topic questions were raised: „Can anyone become a Leader? Can Leadership skills help me in my everyday life?“. So we formulated the conclusions of that debate into the idea of this project. To handle daily life challenges we need a set of Leadership skills to find opportunities in difficult situations. We need to learn how to decide and solve our problems because we can't depend on others for our own success. It is essential that each of us develops skills that will make our decisions easier, our lives simpler and our relationships healthy. The Leadership skills that will be emphasized through this project are Integrity, Empathy, Confidence, Communication and Organisation. Through this project we want to teach participants that ANYONE who possesses a specific set of skills can be a leader. With this project we are also joining in promotion of Diversity and Equality as universal positive values, through examples that ANYONE can be a leader and that EVERYONE needs leadership skills in their daily challenges. We would like to plant the seeds of these values in our participants. The Main Objective of the project: - to improve participants' Leadership skills through various non-formal and informal educational activities (workshops, seminars, games, exercises, quizzes etc.) and teach them how to apply these skills in everyday life situations. Other Objectives of the project: - promoting universal positive values like Diversity, Equality, Integrity, Multiculturalism and Tolerance through project's educational and dissemination activities; - promoting European cooperation in the youth field and attaining increased capacity of partner organisations to operate at EU/international level by modernisation of their activities and by internationalization of their managerial and organizational capacity through creating a strong partnership, - promoting mobility opportunities for youth by organising youth exchange project in international environment (in Slovenia with 5 EU partner organisations for 40 young participants).
