We want to implement the »I am VOTING, so I am!« project as a result of our recognition of a strong need for greater understanding of young people with respect to the nature of their broader societal engagement and all too often also extremely low engagements on the level of thinking and activating themselves with respect to socio-political processes. The core objective of our project is therefore directly focused on upgrading – in this respect – relevant competences of youth workers and youth leaders, and their understanding of both the existing international political situation as well as the experiencing world of young people. We see this core objective as directly connected also with the objective of developing a stronger awareness of the importance of active and political citizenship of young people, with the objective of greater inclusion of young people in democratic processes of decision making, and the objective of reaching a higher level of mutual acceptance and solidarity. By developing a high-quality intertwinement of processes aimed at upgrading existing political and media competencies of our participants, and adding to this also an immediate mobilization of high-quality work effort directed at a joint development and implementation of the "I am VOTING, so I am!" media campaign, we are certain to maximize the prospect of achieving our multi-layered set objectives.
