Objectives

Travelling Circus is not a classical form of circus, because there are no animals involved. This is a socially – cultural project, which uses circus as a educational tool for children and youth. Its peculiarity and uniqueness is inclusion of local community into the project, including local children, youth, their parents and random local people, who may be interested in the project. Young participants will teach others of special circus skills, for instance juggling with pins, balls or diabolo, walking on the rope, stilts, big ball and riding a monocycle. We want to organise this project again, as the first project showed us incredible practical results, worth upgrading and evolving to a higher level. In the past, we had a great positive response from a local community and youth included in the project. We wish to offer an opportunity for learning circus skills, action and connection to a new generation of youth, local community and mentors. Goals for the project: - learning and discovering new circus skills, - active spending of the free time, - working on the concentration improvement and motoric functions, - creativity development, - gaining and developing new competences, - english language practice and improvement, - connecting of the youth and strengtening their values, - exploring of the new culture, lifestyle and habits, - exploring the circus world, being the collective main topic of intergenerational connections, - connecting the local organisation, partner organisation and local community, - exploring circus methods as a form of street work, - integration of new working methods with youth into the practical work of the organisation, - improvement and build-up of partnership. Travelling Circus is following listed goals attached to the Erasmus+ program: 1. Improving the level of key competence 2. The intercultural dialogue will be accomplished daily, at every activity and especially at the intercultural evenings when presenting countries of the participants. 3. Social inclusion and solidarity will be achieved through intergenerational cooperation, including people with disabilities.
