Objectives

We, young people, are a part of the globalised world and we want to be aware of the implications of our actions, habits, decisions and consumerist behaviour on others, and we want to get to know and deepen our understanding of the concept of global codependency, and become conscious and responsible global citizens. In order to understand, how and which our decisions add to sustainability, justice, nature preservation and people's health, we decided to address these problems through one of the most popular foods in the west, cacao. With the youth exchange, we want to strengthen active (global) citizenship of young people, improve numerous competences (such as critical thinking) through activities and non-formal learning methods, give place to the development of intercultural dialogue, and promote solidarity locally as well as globally. OBJECTIVES OF THE YOUTH EXCHANGE: - promotion and strengthening of active citizenship (European and globally), European values, feeling of belonging to local/European/global community and respecting human rights through getting to know global codependency through the theme of cacao - Strengthen the international dimension of youth activities and the role of youth workers and organizations (The project brings together 5 partners who will disseminate knowledge of international projects and good practices in the field of global learning, and plan the continuation of the project. Through the implemented project and with the established cooperation between different organizations, young people and youth workers will strengthen the quality of youth work and increase awareness of the importance of European or global citizenship.) - Improve the level of key competences and skills of young people; Empower young people with the knowledge of critical thinking, which will stimulate us in the long run and equip us to find deeper reasons for the problems in our lives and the lives of others and society in general; promoting active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, social inclusion and solidarity both locally and globally - We will promote intercultural understanding and solidarity through the various methods of informal (global) learning and the tasks that participants will receive; During the discussion of current events in the world with a critical approach to this, they will also realise the importance of active (global) citizenship. - Encourage young people to participate in the preparation of youth exchange activities through anticipated expectations and preliminary preparation of activities (each partner prepares a certain activity), intercultural evenings (preparing meals, displaying customs ...). In addition, we will keep up with our expectations and encourage one another to feedback and co-create the program in order to satisfy our needs and expectations as closely as possible. - Empowering young people to become active members in multiplication activities after the exchange and continue to engage in environmental and sustainability issues.
