The aim of the project courses was to enable teachers to face better new trends in education, to discover new practices and innovative methods for teaching their subjects, to better orient themselves in new areas of ICT and not only ICT, so that they can meet the needs, vision and goals of the organization. and to respond immediately to labour market needs. Thanks to the completion of selected structured short-term courses, the role of teachers was to acquire the necessary competencies, learn to use new tools on the Internet that can be used to make teaching more attractive and improved, and to bring new knowledge useful in the teaching process by including them in curricula and education. During the stay, we wanted teachers to gain new contacts for development of international partnerships and to be able to use them to provide and exchange information and experiences, to improve not only teaching but also to educate students with good examples from practice abroad. Our intention was to improve the quality of school development, to see ways of solving problems in multicultural schools abroad by visiting them, getting acquainted with their curriculum, teaching methods, needs of students, teachers, interviews with school management.
The school must move forward with the needs of the labour market, monitor it, respond to it quickly and try to create new study fields, new subjects demanded by labour market. We belong to schools in the Žilina region with a unique offer of study fields. We are the only one to offer the study field Information and Network Technologies, innovative fields focused on industrial informatics, we verify the field Electrical Engineering and Automation. It requires not only capable leadership, but also capable and trained teachers. The school has a problem to find enough teachers for vocational subjects and employs part-time practitioners to enrich students with new trends. Older teachers need to gain new motivation, enthusiasm, younger ones new experience, perspectives. In order for teachers to be able to pass on as much as possible to students, this project is needed. Our students are demanded by labour market. The aim of the school is to improve their English results and to improve communication with the possibility to enter the labour market, as foreign language in these fields is essential. The literature for ICT subjects is in English, the school teaches and plans to teach these subjects bilingually by introducing the CLIL method.
