Creating an inclusive school environment. Changing the mindset of teaching staff. Creating a support school team. Give every child a chance to learn in the same conditions. Currently, the school curriculum is being changed at two levels: changing the content and performance for the general population and its reduced content for students with special needs. Our goal was and is to create a modern and flexible school education program that will include the needs of all students without distinction, in order to fulfill the main goals of inclusion. A well-developed ŠkVP is the basis not only for the work of teachers, but also of the school support team, whose members were actively involved in the program. We see teaching assistants as an indivisible and important part of the educational process, and therefore it was important for us that they have the opportunity to observe the work of the teacher and assistant directly with the students, to know how to plan activities together in the classroom. And an inseparable and important part of the work of the ŠPT is the work of the school's special pedagogue, who provides pedagogical support to teachers and professional help to students. In personal consultations with teachers and observations of work directly in the classrooms, they had the opportunity to change their perspective on the creation of school support documentation.
Our school is a fully organized school with 70 teaching staff and 840 pupils. The focus of the school is on the education of intellectually gifted students, education with an emphasis on mathematical skills, sports classes with a focus on football and girls' handball, and education of children with specific needs. It is a broad spectrum that leads us to a natural transition from integration to inclusion. Pedagogical and professional staff understand the need for further education, especially in natural conditions where inclusive education is already a common part of the school system.
