We were concerned with improvements in the areas of sciences, languages, climate and spatial arrangement at school, teacher satisfaction in education, taking inspiration from the Finnish school system. In connection with Brexit, we wanted to focus mainly on other target countries, possibly other languages and, in general, areas other than the purely English language. We wanted to develop transversal skills and interdisciplinarity, so we involved a whole range of teachers-subject experts, as well as a delegated representative of the school management.
We submitted the project Individual growth - a condition for school development in order to improve the expertise and results of individuals, bring new ideas to the areas defined in the application, and through this help raise the level of the school as such. These were mainly the areas of transversal skills, development of relationships outside school, including international communication, further interdisciplinarity, implementation of elements of Finnish education in grammar schools, development of natural sciences, mathematics, ICT, languages other than English (which is also teaching one at our school).
