The goal was to expand the practical skills of our students,to familiarize themselves with new methods of screen printing and 3D printing,the opportunity to try out specific tools and machines in the field of printing and to introduce the teaching of these areas in our school.Students should acquire professional practical skills in operating machines and master complex technical processes.We wanted to implement these technologies and techniques into our thematic plans and thus expand the only theoretical teaching with its practical component at that time.The goal of job shadowing was to use "best practice" to develop a high-quality thematic plan and teaching methodology in 3D printing.The creative work and professional level of the project should provide students and teachers with access to professional terminology in a foreign language and thus expand their opportunities to apply themselves in the developing labor market.Last but not least, it was about getting to know the multicultural environment, interaction and teamwork as a basis for understanding ideas of a cultural and social nature.As a school, we base ourselves on leading students to environmental responsibility, so the outputs should be realized in an eco-friendly way.
The strategic need of our school is to educate students and teachers in ever-advancing design disciplines and also to include current elements in the field of teaching that will meet the needs of practice and the labor market. Also, our goal is to build motivation in them to get involved in international projects, so that they expand their professional competences and communication skills not only in terms of communication in a foreign language, but also group work. We want to increase their self-confidence and courage to engage on a global scale and later use valuable experience from abroad on the Slovak market, train them in competitive skills and flexibility in the creative industry. We aso want to raise their awareness in the area of racial and ethnic equality. We joined this project with the aim of acquiring competences in the field of printing techniques, namely in the field of screen printing and 3D printing, which are modern processing techniques of various design disciplines. For our project, we selected two schools that excel in these techniques and are fully equipped to realize the goals of our project - Kurresaare Ametikool in Estonia for 3D printing and Srednja sola za osformation in Slovenia for screen printing.
