By implementing the project, we wanted to strengthen the transition between formal and informal education, vocational training, employment and entrepreneurship, but also the development of personal qualities in both students and teachers. To increase the professional and key competences of students thanks to irreplaceable experiences from foreign practice, which would distinguish them on the labor market in our region, where unemployment is high, but also within Slovakia and on the European labor market. Mobility not only serves to expand knowledge in the field of education, but also allows the participants to develop their cultural literacy. By implementing this project, we wanted to ensure that the students become familiar with the culture, customs and traditions of another country during their stay, to gain self-confidence, learn to navigate in a foreign environment, be independent and responsible for themselves and their actions.
We are the secondary school Business Academy in Humenné with a long tradition. By analysis of the contemporary situation we came to the conclusion that over past years our school has undergone significant changes. Our ambition is to improve the quality of the educational process, to create space for students for their self-realization and prepare them for successful implementation in working life. This is why we have decided to apply for this project through the knowledge process or sharing know-how during the implementation of foreign mobility. Another reason why we applied for the project is the fact that we wanted to improve the position of our school as an educational institution providing vocational education through the realization of foreign mobility for students which will help us educate graduates able to apply in the labour market.
