The main goal of the mobility project is incorporated in its very name - Plus for the profession; we believe that we managed to fulfil it with activities we had done. In the project, we contributed to the development of key competences in the professional education of students and teachers in the new field of study named 5661M Practical Nurse. Taking part in the project was a unique opportunity for the personal and professional development of teachers as interns and accompanying persons. The project allowed them to take the path of educational innovation in professional subjects and acquire new knowledge and experience for the preparation of future healthcare workers in other areas as well - ICT, school management, etc. An equally important aim of the project was also to provide selected students with the opportunity to complete professional practice in modern healthcare facilities of the Czech Republic. The goal was to enable the participants to gain new professional experience and practical skills and knowledge that cannot be obtained through the standard teaching process. The participants could compare the health/nursing care systems in the Czech and Slovak health facilities. Participating in a foreign internship allowed students and accompanying persons to get to know modern nursing procedures and aids used in selected university hospitals in person.
The Secondary Nursing School in Lučenec is an educational institution certified by the International Education Society in London. It is a family-type school with a 75-year tradition; it has had many years of experience in the implementation of professional internships abroad as part of the ERASMUS+ project. The choice of the Czech Republic as a country with a language that is close to that of Slovakia and common history was mainly influenced by the fact that it was the only one of the potential partner countries able to provide adequate practice for students. In the Czech Republic, the educational program and the range of competences of their students are very similar to ours, which significantly simplified the course of the project. Its main goal was to provide selected students with the opportunity to complete professional practice in healthcare facilities in the Czech Republic and teachers with the opportunity to get to know and compare the system of vocational education in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. At the same time, they got acquainted with the use of ICT and the Moodle teaching system. We expected the project to increase the management skills of teachers and school management, leading to further improvement of the educational process. Mobility participants also had the opportunity to get to know the country, its traditions, culture, national and social diversity, and thus create a positive relationship with the EU partner country aiming for a long-term cooperation
