The aim of student mobility was to improve their profile as a school graduate by verifying their older skills, knowledge and competencies with the possibility of subsequently applying them in an international environment. The school acquires students who strengthen their self-confidence, develop independence and responsibility, as a precondition for future employment in the labor market not only at home but also abroad. The aim of the mobility of pedagogical staff was to get acquainted with vocational and practical education at secondary vocational schools in EU countries, as well as with the working procedures of companies in which vocational training takes place. Subsequently, they compared this knowledge and information with what is taught in individual professional and practical subjects in the field in our country. It is in the school's interest to acquire trained and qualified staff for the innovation and modernization of vocational education and networking of the school's partners involved. This is one of the ways to make vocational apprenticeships more attractive, which is currently so underestimated in Slovakia. Our school wants constantly to increase the level and quality of services offered, to become more competitive not only at the local and regional level, but also at the national and European level.
The Secondary Vocational School of Trade and Services in Žiar nad Hronom is constantly working to increase the quality of vocational education, with an emphasis on supporting the development of apprenticeship education and raising awareness about it. All the projects implemented so far have offered our students and teaching staff new useful information about the way and course of vocational education in other countries, to expand cooperation with organizations and schools from different European countries. We want to provide high-quality training for our students at the school. Through professional internships, we can confront participants not only with their theoretical but also professional knowledge and practical skills in an international environment. The school's intention is to complete our European credit system for ECVET vocational education and training with feedback from Erasmus + mobility participants. We are constantly working to improve the validation and recognition of the results achieved by students during professional internships abroad. One of the main goals of the school is to improve and innovate the school's educational programmes, which is important to adapt to the current needs of the labor market.
