The project has achieved the following objectives: - To modernise and increase the quality of the adult education provided - To develop towards an organisation that is able to respond effectively to disadvantaged adults and counteract process of social exclusion due to age and different sexual identity - To raise the quality of counseling of LGBT people through offering the counselors new knowledge and innovative coaching tools - To ensure constructive cooperation with external stakeholders (e.g. non-formal youth sector, labour market, labour unions, police etc.) so that they are open for hearing about LGBT issues and can as well serve as triggers for learning within our organisation. - To ensure leadership commitment to both continuous quality development of our organisation as well as internationalisation. To enable the director to show his commitment in practice through giving his staff and volunteers the space to develop new initiatives as well as to reflect on their practice and learn from both failures and success. -To build and strengthen knowledge of European partners for future
The reason we applied for this project was to build capacity and become better at supporting adult LGBT people mainly through counseling, increasing their chance of equal integration into education, labour-market and society at large as well as focusing on their personal development and well-being. We achieved this through raising the capacity of the organisation and the competences of its staff. The organisation has identified the following key areas that we planned to improve to ensure our further quality development within the area of adult education: 1. The organisation as a whole 2. The management and leadership 3. The teaching, training and educational staff 4. Guidance and counselling staff 5. Internationalisation
