The goals we wanted to achieve were already set when applying for foreign mobility. Our effort was to increase the number of participants on foreign mobilities, both from the side of the teachers and from the side of the pupils. As for our pupils, participation in foreign mobility contributes to their all-round development: development and improvement of skills, professional knowledge, language competences. Working in a foreign environment, in a team, helps to increase students' self-confidence, independence, and responsibility. In the case of our experts, the internship was focused primarily on getting to know the Spanish teaching system, obtaining information about the methods used in the teaching process, about the way of organizing and ensuring the professional practice of students in various institutions and companies. The common denominator of both internships was getting to know new countries, culture, lifestyle, and traditions. An important goal was also the development of intercultural and social competences of trainees.
The Secondary vocational school of technology and services in Šahy has very positive experiences with foreign mobilities. At the time of submitting this project, we already had four successfully implemented projects and our school had a clear intention to continue in this direction in the future. We received positive feedback from both students and staff, so it was not a question for us whether to continue these projects. Pupils of our school as well as their parents showed great interest in foreign mobility. For the stated reasons, we applied for a charter in 2018, which we obtained, and within the framework of the charter, the first implemented project was mobility to Spain.
