Successful youth exchange "Tolerance or Ignorance?" was implemented in 2017 addressing migrant issues and tolerance among people. Migration to the EU has declined significantly since 2017 and is still kept at a minimum in Slovakia, but unfortunately, the support of radical groups among young people and youth radicalization is growing. In our organization S.P.A.C.E. - Spolok pre aktivitu, cestovanie, edukáciu. we consider spreading tolerance and multiculturalism in society highly necessary also in 2019, especially among the most vulnerable group - young people. That's why we decided to prepare project "Tolerance or Ignorance? II. " OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT We set the objectives of the project as follows: > 1. Developing critical thinking by provoking an internal dialogue: "Is my attitude correct? Are the information I have truthful? " > 2. Provide youth with direct / personal experience with other cultures and religions. > 3. Give young people enough of time to really get to know their essence and to see the uniqueness of each participant, regardless of his or her faith and culture. > 4. Provide basic relevant information on the Holocaust, refugee crisis, propaganda, multiculturalism, racism and individual religions complemented by the personal testimony of the participants. > 5. Compare what we thought of each other based on the indirect information we had and what we think of each other after direct experience. Fighting fears and prejudices. > 6. Raise awareness of Erasmus+ Programme and non-formal education as an effective tool in the fight against youth radicalization. > 7. Encourage young people to become role models in their neighborhood. Give them enough trust, support, and tools to start making positive changes in society. > 8. Contribute to primary prevention of youth radicalization in Slovakia and increase tolerance among young people.
