The fact that the Hârezmî Education Model, developed by Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education as our national education model, it is aimed to be a world-class education model, developed by being fed from other education models accepted in the world by enriching with 21st century skills to reach European standards. The inadequacy of the methods and techniques used by our teachers with the classical teaching approach in terms of problem solving and project execution became more noticeable with the implementation of the Hârezmî Education Model. This situation has led to the need to observe and experience the changing the understanding of education in the world. The best solution to meet this need has been found to develop "From Past to Future with Hârezmî!" project and very productive results have been obtained with our project. It is also among our aims to achieve that our teachers have the chance to observe the trainings implemented in different countries, socialize internationally by interacting with the citizens of different countries, provide a network to establish new partnerships/collaborations, and spread the project culture by sharing the cultural experiences they have gained with their students and teachers.
The project has been carried out by the teachers who applied the Hârezmî Education Model in our district, in order to contribute to the development of the model by taking the "Problem-Based Learning" and "Project-Based Learning" trainings, which are the most basic needs of the Hârezmî Education Model; share their experiences with their students and fellow teachers and ensure the dissemination of project outputs throughout Istanbul by sharing experience with other district coordinators and provincial coordinators. "From Past to Future with Hârezmî!" project has been developed with the aim of quality improvement and internationalization of our institution, encouraging research and development, designing lessons with 21st century skills , learning new teaching methods and techniques, developing effective and student-centered education and encouraging good practices, training project-loving teachers and students and gaining experience on the way to Europeanization!
