Background

The main purpose of the project was to boost innovative ICT education and to maximize the inclusion of students with special needs and varying degrees and levels of disabilities. The project also sought to create new entrepreneurial opportunities, by prompting the role of ICT in professional training and involve in the so called “mixed classes” learners with various disabilities/special needs, producing high-quality learning outcomes for participants, reinforcing the capacities and international scope of the participating schools and organisations. We contributed to solutions of; - Lack of awareness on existing innovative ICT practices and ICT learning methods that boost inclusion of SEN - Lack of organizational knowledge on good inclusive ICT practices in Europe and Turkey - Lack of administrative staff skills to manage educational programs - Lack of highly qualified human resources in schools who can counsel and consult SEN on their professional opportunities - Lack of ICT adoptability assessment tools for the SEN - Inefficient European and international cooperation and communication among teachers for the inclusion of SEN - Lack of information of ICT and vocational practices and innovations targeting at SEN
