According to our research, the lack of personnel in the competencies required by the sector was one of the biggest problems of the enterprises in our Konya region. It was one of our special goals to ensure that the students of our school, which has the mission of raising qualified personnel for the sector, have the knowledge, skills and vision that can solve the problems of the sector in cooperation with the school-industry. Our goals; + To ensure the creation of qualified manpower needed by the sector + To increase the self-confidence of our students living in rural areas by developing in social, cultural and professional fields To document the gains they will gain with the +Erasmus+ internship and to increase their employment opportunities +To enable our students to improve their language skills and follow technological innovations + To ensure that our school is aware of technological innovations and to increase institutional capacity
Our school is located in Sarayönü district, which is approximately 60 km from the center of Konya. Our district, which is based on agriculture, is also disadvantaged in terms of social and cultural aspects. Our students studying in the Department of Furniture and Interior Design of our school do not have the necessary technological infrastructure in terms of the programs used for furniture interior design and the advanced CNC benches used in production in any of our school and district businesses. Because of this, our students had problems such as not being able to show professional development on the project. We had 3 important reasons for the project application. 1- With the EU internship, our students can gain professional gains and find a job comfortably in Konya and nearby cities. 2- Supporting the cultural and language development of our students and supporting them to hold on to life as self-confident entrepreneurial youth. 3-To contribute at least a little to the solution of the qualified personnel problem of the furniture sector.
