We targeted to improve the quality standards in the vocational education and training that is counted as one of the issues that lack in quality and need to be handled properly in our school. We also aimed to transfer good vocational qualifications and practices in Europe to our school via such European experiences, to expand our international network and to increase our institutional capacity. Thus, our students and teachers that join the European mobility would experience new methods and techniques and innovative practices that are applied in business firms and labour markets in Europe, and these knowledge, skills and innovations would be transfered to our school, hence aiding our school gain an international aspect. So as to strengthen our vocational education and training standards with the European experience and to make our school join more extensive international activities in the upcoming years along with the increase in our institutional capacity, we intended to implement the new knowledge, skills and experiences that our students gained through internship trainings they attended in two countries in Europe throughout our school and thus to create awareness about vocational education and training.
With regards to the present situation and the future targets of our school, we intended to conduct this project to improve the quality in education and training, to make the vocational education and training we provide be in accord with the labour market, to have a low absentee rate, to decrease the dropout rate and to increase the employment opportunities of our graduate students. It is also our target to improve the qualifications of our teachers and administrators through international activities, to broaden the international cooperation network and to increase our institutional capacity. We aimed to expand our institutional capacity by aiding our teachers and administrators improve their organisational skills and gain experience in the planning, writing and execution phases of the project. It was also our aim to help our students gain vocational skills that are in accord with the labor market and improve their foreign language and social skills and this way stay ahead of their peers. Thereby, it was aimed to increase the personal and vocational skills of our students and make them gain self-confidence with a three-week of internship and daily life activities in Europe.
