We aimed to train qualified disabled workforce in the automotive field by increasing the professional skills of our students studying in the Automotive Electromechanics (Oil service, Tire change, battery service, car wash) department, which is the field of Motor Vehicles Technology. We aimed to increase our students' professional skills in the field by working with work discipline, planned work, workshop management, occupational health and safety measures. We aimed to increase the quality of education by observing how disabled students are included in vocational education in this field in EU countries and transferring them to the education in our school. In this process, we chose our companion teachers from vocational teachers and special education teachers. By learning how vocational education practices are applied in EU countries with a multi-disciplinary approach, we applied to transfer them in our school. In addition, we aimed to improve our workshop equipment by examining the technical equipment of the Motor Vehicle Technology Workshop, which is planned to be established, and how the materials are used .
Our mission as a special education vocational school; Our purpose is to educate our mildly mentally retarded students as young people who can live independently in the society, produce, integrated with the society, and gain work and professional ethics. Automotive electromechanics vocational skills in the field of motor vehicle technology form our curriculum. As there is no application workshop in our school, theoretical education has been given and it is not enough to train automotive electromechanics through this education. We applied for this project to reduce this deficiency, increase the vocational skills of our students , train them as a qualified disabled workforce in the field of automotive electromechanics and increase the employment of the disabled. We applied to this project to enable disabled young people to be involved in business life except physical labor, educate them as individuals who produce, not consume, self-confident and can lead their lives independently. Besides, through examining the practice workshops in EU countries, we applied to organize the workshop to be established in our school, bring technical documents and materials to our school and bring our school to EU standards. However, despite the correspondence with the Ministry of National Education, the equipment of the Motor Vehicles Technology application workshop in our school has not been made yet. Theoretical training continues, only in the car wash department.
