Objectives

With our project, which was prepared and presented for the first time by our school, we wanted to achieve our goals such as gaining project experience, contributing to teamwork by collaborating with our teachers, directing our disabled students to life and profession by giving them different experiences, and increasing our institutional quality. In addition, we wanted to contribute to the fact that our disabled students become active individuals who participate in the social, cultural and economic life of the society they live in, improve their employability levels by increasing their professional knowledge, skills and work experience, and ensure that they reach a level where they can earn good incomes in the future. We wanted our companion teachers in our project to improve their professional knowledge and skills by participating in EU-wide studies, and to be able to provide more professional education to our special students who need special education. Thus, we will be able to improve our curriculum, we will be able to reflect innovative and successful practices in our school's educational environment, and we will be able to improve our personnel competencies.

Background

Our students; • In transferring knowledge and skills, • In the acquisition of psychomotor skills, • In the acquisition of social skills, • Transferring information from short-term memory to long-term memory, • In the acquisition of language and communication skills, • To focus attention, • In fast learning, • He has difficulties in acquiring academic skills. This situation necessitates providing education with a more professional approach to our students who need special education. There may be difficulties because the vocational course teachers working in private institutions such as our school do not have to receive a special education related training and many of them have not received special education. In this respect, in order to ensure that our disabled students, who are among the disadvantaged groups in the society, who are discriminated against, and who are somehow excluded from social life, take their place in the society, recognize their decision-making and responsibility, support their feelings of respect and pride for their own existence, power and will, and to eliminate the shortcomings mentioned above. We applied to the project to enable them to do internships in experienced institutions in Europe.
