Background

Merzifon Organized Industrial Zone Directorate (OSB), in order to realize the "Target of the Turkish Built-in Sector to Have a Voice in the International Market" of the Merzifon Built-in Cluster (MAK); In 2019, it has planned to establish a large R&D center that many companies can benefit from. A qualified workforce employment opportunity with 250 quota to work in this unit has arisen. With the innovation of the sector, there is a growth of 37% in 5 years and the inclusion of 2000 workforce in the sector. Built-in companies have searched for qualified workforce from distant provinces as a temporary solution; He abandoned this plan in the face of the high cost of the transfer. Finally, according to the results of the cooperation platform of Merzifon District Governorship, MAK representatives and OIZ, it was decided to strengthen cooperation with VTE institutions in order to meet the aforementioned need. The first action of the platform to increase the technical capacity and graduate quality of our school was to support an EU project to be prepared by the school.
