Background

According to the Life Tables statistics announced by TURKSTAT, the average life expectancy in our country is stated as 78 and it is predicted that 13% of our country's population will be 65 years or older in 2030. Due to the demographic structure and family profile of our country, the care of the sick elderly is usually done at home, and this task is usually undertaken by women. However, the changing and developing social and economic life conditions have begun to transfer the care of elderly patients to more professional individuals and institutions. Naturally, the increase in public or private professional institutions has brought with it the need for professional and experienced personnel with business skills, who are experts in the field of self-care and basic needs. This project was applied to meet the needs of students who do internships in the field of health in our school, so that they can easily cope with the need for elderly patient care in their internship areas, gain awareness in this area that will facilitate their employment after graduation, gain business skills and internationalization.
