The purpose of our project; Our aim is to increase the desire to learn by making our schools more liked by the students, and thus to reduce the dropout rates. In addition, our students are offered internship opportunities in Europe in order to provide professional information in the field of Reggio Emilia Approach, to increase their skills, to ensure that they are recognized with the course materials, tools and equipment used in pre-school education institutions where this education model is applied, and to increase their experience by practicing. One of the most important problems of our Consortium member schools participating in the project is the high early school leaving rates. In addition, the decrease in the number of students in these schools every year and the academic achievement being lower than the provincial average are among the other most important problems of our schools. The most important issues of developing countries like ours are unemployment, the fight against unemployment, employment, qualified and sought-after personnel. However, today we can say that for our country, we do not have a business problem, in fact, we have a problem of being qualified and staffed. Although there is no problem of not being able to find a job, we have the problem of raising qualified personnel with the qualifications sought by the labor market. Thanks to this project, our female students studying at vocational and technical high schools affiliated to our directorate have increased their skills and competencies in their own fields, while they have had the opportunity to get to know the education in European Union countries closely. One of the most important issues for our students taking part in the project is undoubtedly that their employability will increase. Our students, who have taken part in an international project, will be able to increase their employment opportunities by participating in an internship activity in an education model that is not common in our country. Our students, who graduated after completing the internship activity, had the opportunity to make a strong entry into their professional life in this way. Thanks to the project they participated in, our students had the opportunity to practice different approaches and methods related to their fields, and to learn and apply different methods related to their profession. The vision that our students will have with the European sample in our project has enabled our students to change and develop their perspective on the world. In addition to gaining professional competence, our students will also have the opportunity to develop themselves individually. We have participants who have not been able to go abroad because their financial means are not sufficient, and even they have not had the opportunity to go anywhere outside of our city. Thanks to this project, our students will be able to go beyond the borders of our country, the self-efficacy of our students who are afraid of being separated from their families will reach the highest level, and they will be able to watch the developing world from their own windows in every sense. In this way, they will be able to overcome their fears and change their perspectives. As a result, their self-confidence will increase; they will develop their production capacity more quickly and effectively with the different techniques they will learn at the place where they work. Our students, who receive theoretical foreign language education in our schools, will have the opportunity to practice and thus improve their language competencies. Our students will have the opportunity to develop new opportunities in a wider range and their professional inadequacies will be eliminated in a wider scope by considering the common needs of the EU job market. Our students will gain professional follow-up skills by increasing their language skills. Our schools will gain a more institutional structure and their success will increase in the fields they provide vocational education. Thus, it is among our goals to increase the rate of preference of our schools by students who graduated from the previous educational institution, secondary school. For this, our schools need to gain prestige and create a quality education image in the society. In our participating students; In terms of education and training; Improvement in absenteeism, increase in their success, being an example to their friends, leadership skills and self-confidence increased. In addition, it was ensured that the participants improved their professional skills and creativity on the Reggio Emilia Approach, and gained the qualifications to integrate good practices and new approaches into our own education system.
In our project, where Karabük Provincial Directorate of National Education is the consortium leader, there are 3 Vocational and Technical Anatolian High Schools affiliated to our directorate, which have Child Development and Education Area. These are our schools; Karabük Yahya Kemal Beyatlı Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, Safranbolu Cemil Meriç Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School and Yenice Multi-Program Anatolian High School. The main purpose of these schools is to train qualified personnel and to meet the need for costly intermediate technical personnel. The project studies carried out basically, our schools; It aims to educate students who are more qualified, whose family qualities and quantitative heritage are developed, who have a permanent, entrepreneurial, innovative mindset and are open to development. In the preparation phase of our project, in order to determine the current situation of our students studying at our Consortium member schools, first the statistical tables and strategic plans of our schools for the last 3 years were examined, then interviews were conducted with the teachers working in the guidance service, the course and class counselors, school administrators, the families of our students and the students themselves. meetings were held. As a result of these interviews and meetings, it has been determined that our students are the children of disadvantaged families with low and middle income levels, who are eager to receive training and participate in studies related to their fields, and who want to take an active part in project studies and It has been determined that most of them did not go out of Karabük, the province we are in, let alone traveling abroad before. As a result of the studies, it has been determined that one of the educational activities that our consortium should do in the name of quality improvement and internationalization is the internship in Europe for our students studying in the field of Child Development and Education. With this project, it is primarily aimed to reduce the dropout rates in our schools by making our students love their school and increase their desire to learn. As a result of the meetings with our field teachers, it was decided that our Erasmus+ Plus project would be an internship activity on Reggio Emilia. The Purpose of Our Project; To help our students gain professional knowledge, skills and competencies in their fields in line with their interests and abilities, by supporting their entrepreneurship, teamwork, decision-making and problem-solving skills, and by ensuring their national and international recognition and mobility, which can adapt to changing social and economic conditions to train and develop in a dynamic structure. The importance of a vocational education system that enables the training of individuals with professional knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviors suitable for the demands of the rapidly changing information, technology and production methods and the demands of the labor market, which exhibits a dynamic structure in parallel with the developments in business life, is increasing all over the world. It is clear that the acquisition of new professional skills will be achieved by supporting creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship, especially for our country where the youth population density is high. With our project; One of the most important issues for our participating students is undoubtedly that their employability will increase. Our students will increase their employability thanks to the internship they will perform in an international project and an education model that is not common in our country. Our students who will graduate after the internship will be able to make a strong entry into their professional life in this way. It is among our goals that our consortium member schools gain a more institutional structure, increase their success in the fields they provide vocational training, and increase their level of preference by secondary school graduates. For this, our schools need to gain prestige and create an image of quality education in front of the society. With this project, our consortium member schools need the experience they will gain at the end of the internship activities, and the recognition they will gain on a national and international scale. In this way, our schools will be more institutionalized and will also increase their vocational education quality.
