Objectives

As Kayhan Ergun Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School Department of Electrical and Electronic Technologies, we wanted to meet two basic needs in our department by applying for this project; First of all, to ensure that our students, whom we will take for internship, learn how electrical installations are made in the construction environment by observing on site. With this project, we wanted to enable our internship students to enter the construction environment and learn how air conditioning, electrical and ventilation installations are made by observing their masters. Secondly, with this project, we wanted our teachers, who participated in the on-the-job observation activities, to examine the projects of the works that are still under construction, and to have information about the assembly and operation of the construction site panels used in these constructions. We aimed to enable the masters to see how the electrical materials used in a construction are assembled, by watching the masters, and to improve their lecture notes thanks to the pictures they took, the plans they obtained and the notes they kept.

Background

We applied to reinforce the theoretical education of the students studying in the field of installation panel mounting at our school with on-site practices and to raise awareness among our teachers and students by ensuring that good practices are observed on-site thanks to the on-the-job observation activity of our teachers. We wanted to contribute to the language development and cultural accumulation of our participant group.
