Objectives

During the writing phase of our project, we set ourselves the goals we wanted to achieve within the framework of the European Development Plan and evaluated our project outputs within the framework of the evaluation activities we determined after implementing our project. In our project, we basically aimed to improve the professional skills of our students. As a matter of fact, our students have successfully completed their internships at Acve Intretinere Lift institution for two weeks, allowing them to specialize in the maintenance and repair of electromechanical carriers, system and failure analysis, and periodic maintenance. Another output we want to achieve in our project is to improve our students' foreign language skills, to add a European dimension to their perspectives, to support them in determining their career goals by seeing their professional practices in the international arena, and to increase their awareness level by showing cultural and personal development. On the other hand, it is aimed to improve the institutional capacity of our institution and to develop international practice and management skills.

Background

The main reason why we wanted to implement the project was to prevent our students from being inadequate in the face of new professions due to the technological inadequacies of our school in the face of the constantly changing and developing system and the technological inadequacies in the places where our students do their internships, and to support the professional development of our students with internship experience in Europe within the scope of Erasmus+. Today, the widespread use of electromechanical carriers such as elevators, escalators and conveyors (transfer belts) creates a need for qualified workforce to work in this field and means a new employment area for our students. For this reason, we wanted to implement our project as Köyceğiz Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School. With the project we implemented, we enabled our students to participate in a two-week internship program in Bucharest, Romania. In addition, we wanted to improve our students' foreign language skills, improve their social, personal and communication skills, increase the vocational education capacity of our school, transfer applications in European standards to our school, and increase our project preparation and implementation capacity.
