Our project was implemented in order for 5 automotive technology students to enter directly into business life in Germany with their own lives. The Erasmus+ application was carried out with the aim of increasing the development and experience of apprentices through work-based training in Europe. It was implemented to achieve teaching goals, to learn by doing and experiencing in real work environments. Learning mobility of apprentices In Germany, internship opportunities were offered in the field of electronic fault detection and intervention in vehicles of different models and brands, aiming to develop human resources in the sector. As a result of the internship of 5 apprentices in the field of Automotive Electromechanics at KFZ-Kurt Enterprise in Germany between 02-01-2022/15-01-2022, it was applied in accordance with the purpose of performing maintenance, repair fault detection, intervening in sensors and actuators, introducing part replacements and calibrating vehicles. Reducing the need for consumers in the region to send their vehicles to another city for repair or to call another specialist are the initial goals that have been partially achieved and realized for our district. The engine workshop, which was inspired by the project implementation for our school this year, has been another development area.
Conventional methods such as visual inspection, manual inspection, trial and error method used for automotive fault detection in Gümüşhacıköy district were insufficient in today's vehicles and technology. Thanks to technology, much more advanced diagnostic faults have become much easier to detect. Brands do not transfer their service networks to underdeveloped or underdeveloped regions, as in our region, for cost-economic reasons. As a result, in small industrial sites such as Gümüşhacıköy, difficulties are inevitable in the maintenance and repair of the vehicles of the people of the region. Although our school has apprentice students in the field of motor vehicle technology, there is no workshop opportunity and training cannot be given on the vehicle. Another reason is that older craftsmen in the industrial estate keep a distance from technology. Due to the lack of professional self-confidence, he has a prejudice against information technologies. Accordingly, our apprentice students lack skills in controlling with diagnostic devices and learning vehicle digitals. Our project was prepared and implemented in order to increase the active learning of the students, to contribute to the development of their skills, and to meet the needs of the school and the sector.
