Objectives

World Health Organization declared in a recent report that an unhealthy and dirty environment annually led to the loss of 25% of children under the age of five in other words, 1.7 million children. These unhealthy environments are caused by air and water pollution, passive smoking and lack of hygiene and cause fatal diarrhea, malaria and pneumonia. The report states that yet underdeveloped organs and immune systems of children under five years of age are highly affected by air and water pollution. ‘’Inheriting a Sustainable World: Child Health and Environmental Atlas’’ called report, states that environmental pollution can affect even unborn babies, and in the later years, young children may be exposed to passive smoking and indoor and outdoor air pollution. In addition, the risk of diarrhea and pneumonia is increasing if the houses where children live do not have clean water and sanitary access, or if they are contaminated by the fumes of fuels such as unclean coal and dung. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to minimize the harm of the children that we will entrust our world to in the future and to raise awareness in this sense especially in our toddlers and to lead them to the consciousness of protecting the environment. With this project written on this point, the following main activities will be carried out in order to raise awareness about environmental pollution in our participants and our target audience, to direct the people we can contact to green behavior, to inform them about the measures that can be taken personally, to develop awareness about the environment in children in activities, to make cultural exchange, to eliminate prejudices, to introduce our country in the best way, to increase the level of English of the participants, to offer such opportunities to the participants with fewer opportunities and to disseminate Erasmus Plus.
