Objectives

All beings living on earth communicate one another in various ways. Even babies express themselves with their body language since they cannot use words yet. They try to tell something by using their voices or body motions, by crying and following the objects they like with their eyes. For this reason, everyone is born knowing the body language, however individuals use words and voice to communicate with others. In this line, it would not be wrong to say that communication has a very important part in people’s lives. Studies state that we use 70% of our time to create communication. It turns out that 9% of the time we communicate written, 16% is reading, 30% is speaking and 45% is listening. In connection with this, it is indicated that people misunderstand 70-90% of the words they hear, interpret them differently and reach a wrong conclusion. In this sense, we determined the goals of our projects, which we wanted to carry out in order to raise awareness on the importance of communication in human life. Our goals were as follows: To enable people to realise the importance of effective communication, To use verbal and non-verbal communication methods correctly, To improve effective communication and positive behavior skills, To enable our participants gain perspective on effective communication, taking responsibility of the solution-oriented actions, To increase the use of non-verbal body language, To create an environment that participants will create a bridge between the concepts of “us” and “other” by working together, and to work one another for the mutual goals in coordination, To increase equality of opportunity by reaching out to disadvantaged people, To raise the visibility of the Erasmus+ programs, To enable the cultural exchange, To inform the young people about the communication resources by carrying out knowledge studies, To teach the definition, methods and basic features of communication, To enable the young people to improve an advanced perspective for the effective communication, a solution-oriented approach and to take responsibility, To help them differentiate the different communication styles, To inform them on managing their feelings and thoughts in a correct way, Developing team spirit by encouraging harmony, cooperation and communication despite differences, To inform them on effective listening and understanding, To teach them how to use body language effectively, To encourage the young people to join voluntary works. These goals, which were determined during the creation of our project, were achieved thanks to our activities. All these goals were achieved thanks to the positive impacts left on our partner organisations, target groups and especially our participants included in our project.
