Objectives

The project "A Different Life, A Different Country" is a project that focuses on the difficulties experienced by young people studying internationally for a more comfortable life and makes them to carry out awareness activities and disseminate them through the media. Young people who are trained internationally face many problems, both material and spiritual. The main reasons for this are the accuracy problem of the information they obtain on the internet and the money greed of the educational consultancy agencies. In addition, culture shock, home aspiration, loneliness, incompatibility, timidity, psychological problems, visas, equivalence, dormitory and scholarship opportunities, many of the difficulties experienced by young people who have not been able to reach international education. Moreover, the fact that many of these young people had no previous experience abroad and being young is increasing their problems. It is not easy for every young person to adapt to the culture, social life, laws and general rules of a different country. They need to be aware of their rights and laws and know how and where to use them when necessary. Unfortunately, some internationally educated young people, who cannot give importance to their education, leave their schools and return to their own countries. These problems cause them to waste time and money. However, they need to be comfortable in the country they come to receive training and to direct all their motivations to their education and to be successful. As the international young people of our foundation are facing these problems, we build our project on the basis of this issue. Within the scope of our project, we aim to ensure that young international students should not feel alone and the problems they experience should be reduced as much as possible. So we hope that international young students will be more successful in their schools. We believe that the more we eliminate motivation and demoralizing factors, the more successful they will be in education. This will have a positive impact both for international young students and for the schools they study. In this context, we are planning to organize activities with our participants for 1 week. We ask our participants to be internationally educated young people or have international student friends. Thus, we can use first-hand information and observations when implementing our project. In our project, social media (Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook), electronic communication networks (WhatsApp, E-mail, Dropbox, Skype), the websites of our project and our foundation, TV and radio programs (Dost TV, Dost FM) will be used as dissemination tools. Within the project, YÖK is the most relevant institution in Turkey will be in cooperation with international students. The experts from YÖK will give seminars to us and our participants within the framework of the activity days. So we will have a closer look at the challenges faced by young international students in Turkey, and we will try to find solutions. At the end of our project; - We will take a step forward to improve the living conditions of international students, -We will announce the problems they experienced to a wider audience through social media, television and radio, -We will be a model for other countries which host international students together with our project, -The project partners will be able to create such an awareness, like we did in Turkey, in their own country, -With these opportunities, Erasmus + aims to give the international young students the feeling that they are interested.
