The theme of the “Development from rural to urban through the eyes of youngsters” is to build a network between the rural communities, network that will serve to break down geographical, social and economical barriers , which are the main causes to the depopulation of rural villages and areas. The overall objective of the project is to raise youth active participation in solving community’s problem. The specific objectives of the project : 1. Raising awareness and stimulating involvement in breaking the geographical, social and economical barriers between rural an urban for 35 young persons from 7 countries through common activities during 7 days . 2. Stimulating self development and intercultural understanding for for 36 young persons from 9 countries through common activities during 7 days. Through the present project we aim to stimulate the desire to get involved in a social and geographical problem, common to all 7 countries, by involving the participants in descovering the potential of the rural area , intearacting in a common foreign language becoming aware of the differences between each culture and the importance of the tolerance and of an active attitude. The result we are aiming consists of 35 young people from 7 countries who will become more tolerant, will accept other cultures, will develop competences and skills through common activities and will go back home as members of a network who will work to promote sustainable development and cultural pontential of rural areas in their regions, in order to provide a better life to youth from rural area.
