Background

Today, Smart Building Systems are produced, in which Electricity, Electronic and Information systems are used together. Having such multifunctional systems has revealed the need for vocational and technical education staff to update themselves in parallel with the developing technology about smart building systems. The inability to adequately establish the link between employment and education and the inability to provide vocational training in line with the needs of the labor market cause imbalances between the quality of manpower and the demand of the labor market. This situation causes both unemployment and vacant job positions simultaneously. On the one hand, there is the need for qualified personnel to install, service and maintain the houses equipped with new smart building systems, on the other hand, there are the sector employees or unemployed youth working with old technologies. We have applied for the Smart Home Systems project in order to eliminate the above-mentioned disadvantages by bringing the electrical installation technical staff or the students of the electrical electronics technology field to the current competencies of Smart Home Systems.
