In the developed countries, the quality and quantity of the human resources required by the economic sectors and new technologies in the future is constantly being studied. Therefore, new skills required by new jobs gain a special importance. Our project; Using geothermal energy resources in Europe, it will contribute to the goal of continuing lifelong learning with innovative and inclusive distance education modules to contribute to the environment and the economy. Based on informal and non-formal learning, our project presents high-quality, interactive outputs tailored to the learning needs of the current era and adults. These outputs are constantly based on adult education centers and digital technologies that are accessible to all. The aim of our project is to contribute to the smart, sustainable and inclusive growth priorities of the EU through green and competitive economy through the use of geothermal energy, which is a renewable energy source in agriculture, food, industry and animal husbandry. The target group of our project are the instructors who will be involved in adult education on the use of geothermal energy and the low skilled adults that can be employed in these areas. This project is prepared in partnership of Turkey, the Netherlands, Portugal, Greece and Spain and it will be a contribution to the aim of increasing the quality of education in EU. The project includes innovative and interdisciplinary information transfer and interactive and high quality outputs for the transformation of education into economic growth, employment and products. As project outputs: 1. Course modules for adult education centers, which are affiliated to the General Directorate of Lifelong Learning, for adult and vocational education centers in Europe, will be prepared 2. E-learning modules will be prepared for the use of geothermal energy applications for adults in all Europe 3. A strategy development workshop will be organized and e-book will be prepared for the more efficient use of geothermal energy. Project participants will be the trainers, managers, employees, trainees and adults of the project partners. Project activities include: 1- Geothermal Energy Awareness Seminars: Awareness-raising seminars of the project partners in their own region 2- Geothermal Greenhouse Applications Entrepreneurship Competition: A competition, which is in the administration of the coordinating institution and under the responsibility of the Turkey partners. It is about an entrepreneurship plan for product growth, which competes on who can contribute the most to the economy outside the season by using local seeds 3 - Geothermal Education Greenhouse Entrepreneurship Practice: Implementation of the two best selected plans in experimental training greenhouses 4- Learning Teaching Training-Short-term project partners training on entrepreneurship 5- Short-term project partners on Occupational Health and Safety training 6- Mobility meetings for the evaluation of activities 7- Online e-learning modules: Distance learning modules which will be available on the project web page, open to everyone in English and Turkish. 8- Strategy development workshop for more efficient use of geothermal energy 9- Promotion and dissemination activities At the end of the project, the expected results are: - Preparation of training modules, e-books and digital materials needed in geothermal field in order to adapt to global economic changes within a system that values life-long learning and in line with EU practices. - Development of the skills of adult education teachers - Ensuring that individuals have access to education in the use of geothermal energy resources - Development of basic skills for the participation of unskilled adults who will work in the geothermal field to the labor market - Create awareness of the benefits of geothermal energy in adapting to global economic changes - Establishing networks of cooperation between adult institutions, non-governmental organizations and regional institutions that support sustainable development in the European dimension. - Strengthening the capacities of public and private institutions providing adult education

Objectives

The main purpose of the project was to develop the knowledge and skills of adults and educators working in the field of adult education on geothermal energy and renewable energy. We prepared educational resources and created opportunities needed in the field of adult education in a system that is compatible with EU practices and values lifelong learning in order to adapt to global economic changes, developing the skills of educators working in the field of adult education. We transferred good practices and established an international network among educators to provide adults with access to education on the use of geothermal energy and renewable energy resources, to increase the quality of educational activities on geothermal and renewable energy, to raise awareness about the benefits of geothermal energy and renewable energy in adapting to global economic changes. In addition, we also established cooperation networks between adult education institutions, non-governmental organizations and regional institutions that support sustainable life and development in the European dimension and to strength the capacities of adult education institutions, as we told in the application form.

The overall aim of the project was to contribute to the EU's priorities for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth through a green and competitive economy using geothermal energy and renewable energy in daily life, agriculture, food industry and livestock. The project contributed to these goals with innovative and inclusive distance education modules. Based on non-formal and informal learning methods, the Project has offered high-quality, interactive outputs tailored to the learning needs of adults. The target group of our project is adults who want to improve their knowledge and skills on the use of geothermal energy and renewable energy and educators who work in the field of adult education.
