Objectives

In this project we wanted our teachers to observe first hand the approach to digital competencey and computation in another European region, Levadia in Greeece. The courses aimed to offer schools insight into international models of DC and STEAM activities which would in turn enhance skills to develop models in own setting. It was hoped that observations and first-hand experience of how STEAM is integrated into classrooms in Greece would provide models for integrating DCF and science-led activities into 21st century classrooms.

Background

Digital Competence is a key priority for schools in Wales. The Digital Competence Framework (DCF) was the first framework to be published and set the way for the framework for the new curriculum for Wales. As such, schools have been keen to learn and experience different ways of approaching digital competence, including good practice from other countries.
